The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.161.34

तदेवाकाशमात्रात्म यद्यविद्येति कथ्यते ।
तद्यदास्ते तदेवाहं बन्धः स्वकलनात्मकः ॥ ३४ ॥

tadevākāśamātrātma yadyavidyeti kathyate |
tadyadāste tadevāhaṃ bandhaḥ svakalanātmakaḥ || 34 ||

The world is a vacuous substance, and represented as a gross stuff by ignorance; so I am as free as air and any airy thing in the world, and it is my imagination only, that binds me to my grossness.
