The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.120.31

पुंनागनगविश्रान्ताः कान्तकाञ्चनकान्तयः ।
हेमचूडाः खगा भान्ति दिवि देवगणा इव ॥ ३१ ॥

puṃnāganagaviśrāntāḥ kāntakāñcanakāntayaḥ |
hemacūḍāḥ khagā bhānti divi devagaṇā iva || 31 ||

The punnaga flowers blooming on mountains, appear as golden mines upon them; and the goldfinch birds flying over them, look like winged angels in the aerial course.
