The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.117.30

कमलकुलकवलकोविद गच्छ सरो मधुप मा रूढम् ।
बदरदरीषु विदीर्णं देहं कुरु कण्टकक्रकचैः ॥ ३० ॥

kamalakulakavalakovida gaccha saro madhupa mā rūḍham |
badaradarīṣu vidīrṇaṃ dehaṃ kuru kaṇṭakakrakacaiḥ || 30 ||

Thou soft bodied bee, that art bred up in sweets, and feedest upon the farina of flowers; it is better for thee to resort to the lotuses of the lake, than bruise thy body in thorns and thistles.
