The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

द्विपान्तरजनाश्चक्रैर्जर्जरा जीवितं जहुः ।
मीनजङ्गलजम्बाले जीर्णमत्स्या इवाजले ॥ १४ ॥

dvipāntarajanāścakrairjarjarā jīvitaṃ jahuḥ |
mīnajaṅgalajambāle jīrṇamatsyā ivājale || 14 ||

The peoples inhabiting the islands, lost their lives under the whirling disks; as those dwelling in the watery marshes perish on dried lands for want of rain.
