The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आभासाकाशमेवेदं भामात्रमवभासनम् ।
विश्वमाकाररहितं स्वभावं विदुरव्ययम् ॥ ८० ॥

ābhāsākāśamevedaṃ bhāmātramavabhāsanam |
viśvamākārarahitaṃ svabhāvaṃ viduravyayam || 80 ||

The world is a vacuous sphere of reflections only, resembling a concave reflector; it is a formless void in its nature, and is unimpaired and indestructible in its essence.
