The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.87.10

गतं स्वभावं चिद्व्योम यथा त्वं राम निद्रया ।
जाग्रद्वा स्वप्नलोकं वा विशन्वेत्सि ससं घनम् ॥ १० ॥

gataṃ svabhāvaṃ cidvyoma yathā tvaṃ rāma nidrayā |
jāgradvā svapnalokaṃ vā viśanvetsi sasaṃ ghanam || 10 ||

The vacuous Intellect found this elastic substance, to be of such a subtile and rarefied nature, as when you see the external objects in your dream, or remember the objects of your dream upon your waking.
