The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
यत्रास्ति बीजं तत्र स्याच्छाखा विततरूपिणी ।
जन्यते कारणैः सा च वितता सहकारिभिः ॥ २० ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
yatrāsti bījaṃ tatra syācchākhā vitatarūpiṇī |
janyate kāraṇaiḥ sā ca vitatā sahakāribhiḥ || 20 ||

Vasishtha replied:—The seed in its material form, contains the formless big tree in its undeveloped bosom; which develops afterwards to a gigantic size, by aid of the auxiliary causalities.
