The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.22.10

असत्यप्रतिभासानामेतदेवाशु कारणम् ।
यदनालोकनं नाम समालोकक्षणक्षयम् ॥ १० ॥

asatyapratibhāsānāmetadevāśu kāraṇam |
yadanālokanaṃ nāma samālokakṣaṇakṣayam || 10 ||

The cause of the appearance of the unreal phenomena of the world to our sight, is no other than our want of right sight (i.e. our ignorance), which presents these phantoms to our view; and which disappear at a glance of our acute vision.
