The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

असतः शशश्रृङ्गादेः कारणं मार्गयन्ति ये ।
वन्ध्यापुत्रस्य पौत्रस्य स्कन्धमासादयन्ति ते ॥ ९ ॥

asataḥ śaśaśrṛṅgādeḥ kāraṇaṃ mārgayanti ye |
vandhyāputrasya pautrasya skandhamāsādayanti te || 9 ||

Those who explore in the causality of the want of horns in hares, may well expect to embrace the necks of the sons and grandsons of a barren woman.
