Yoga Vasistha [sanskrit]

223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.98.10

अनेनैव प्रयोगेण राजंश्चित्तं न विद्यते ।
जगदेव न सत्साधो कुतश्चित्तादि तद्गतम् ॥ १० ॥

anenaiva prayogeṇa rājaṃścittaṃ na vidyate |
jagadeva na satsādho kutaścittādi tadgatam || 10 ||

From these reasons it is plain that there is no world in existence, nor even the mind, which is but a part of it; the world being a non-entity, there can be no mind which is conversant alone with it.
