The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.78.35

चेत्यचेतनचित्तादि नास्या भिन्नं न मानतः ।
तयैषा चैत्यते चिच्छ्रीः सैषाद्या चिदिति स्मृता ॥ ३५ ॥

cetyacetanacittādi nāsyā bhinnaṃ na mānataḥ |
tayaiṣā caityate cicchrīḥ saiṣādyā ciditi smṛtā || 35 ||

The triple appellations of the Intellect, Intelligence, and Intelligible, are not exactly definitive of His nature; because He is the cause of these faculties, and witness of the functions of Intellections.
