The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आमोदः पवनेनेव खातेनेव सरिद्रयः ।
असत्यजडचेत्यांशचयनाच्चिद्वपुर्जडम् ॥ २६ ॥

āmodaḥ pavaneneva khāteneva saridrayaḥ |
asatyajaḍacetyāṃśacayanāccidvapurjaḍam || 26 ||

The living soul carries with it the power, which is infused in it by the intellect; as the wind wafts in its course the fragrance of flowers, and the channel carries the current of the stream to a great distance.
