The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.62.9

तत्र पानं पपौ मत्तो भृङ्गः पद्मरसं यथा ।
लीलयैव दृढं हृष्टः सुष्वाप घननिद्रया ॥ ९ ॥

tatra pānaṃ papau matto bhṛṅgaḥ padmarasaṃ yathā |
līlayaiva dṛḍhaṃ hṛṣṭaḥ suṣvāpa ghananidrayā || 9 ||

He drank his fill at pleasure, as a giddy bee sips the honey from lotus cups; he became plump and hearty with his sports, and enjoyed sound sleep from his want of care.
