The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चिदाकाशप्रकाशेऽस्मिन्संकल्पशिशुधारिणी ।
क्रियाकुलवधूर्देहगृहे स्फुरति चञ्चला ॥ ५९ ॥

cidākāśaprakāśe'sminsaṃkalpaśiśudhāriṇī |
kriyākulavadhūrdehagṛhe sphurati cañcalā || 59 ||

The intellect is as the skylight, wherein its active power or energy resembling its consort, resides with her offspring of desire in the abode of the body, and is ever restless and busy in her actions.
