The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.23.32

अनारतागमापायपरास्वसिशिरास्वपि ।
चित्राकारासु चेष्टासु न किंचित्सुस्थिरं शुभम् ॥ ३२ ॥

anāratāgamāpāyaparāsvasiśirāsvapi |
citrākārāsu ceṣṭāsu na kiṃcitsusthiraṃ śubham || 32 ||

No lasting good results to any body from his continuous exertions, and various efforts about his gain and loss even at the edge of the sword.
