The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.93.12

विचारधियमप्रौढां हरन्ति विषयारयः ।
प्रचण्डपवनामृद्वीं कृत्तवृन्तां लतामिव ॥ १२ ॥

vicāradhiyamaprauḍhāṃ haranti viṣayārayaḥ |
pracaṇḍapavanāmṛdvīṃ kṛttavṛntāṃ latāmiva || 12 ||

But the sensible objects and the organs of sense, destroy the imperfect reason; as the violence of the wind, breaks off the stalks of tender plants.
