The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.81.3

अविद्यत्वादचित्तत्वान्मायात्वाच्चासदेव हि ।
ध्रुवं नास्त्येव वा चित्तं भ्रमादन्यत्खवृक्षवत् ॥ ३ ॥

avidyatvādacittatvānmāyātvāccāsadeva hi |
dhruvaṃ nāstyeva vā cittaṃ bhramādanyatkhavṛkṣavat || 3 ||

It is ignorance, error and illusion, which exhibit the vacant and visionary mind to view, as it is our false imagination, which forms an arbour of trees in the vacant air.
