The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

गते वरमुनौ राजा गत्वैकान्तमनिन्दितम् ।
धिया संचिन्तयामास को नामाहमिति स्वयम् ॥ २ ॥

dhiyā saṃcintayāmāsa ko nāmāhamiti svayam || 2 ||

After the sage had gone, the prince also retired to a lonely place;and there began to reflect on the nature of his soul, and the manner of his existence.
