The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.55.4

यदा सर्वमिदं किंचित्सबाह्याभ्यन्तरात्मकम् ।
अपलप्य वसेच्चेतः सत्तासामान्यता तदा ॥ ४ ॥

yadā sarvamidaṃ kiṃcitsabāhyābhyantarātmakam |
apalapya vaseccetaḥ sattāsāmānyatā tadā || 4 ||

And likewise, when it ignores the knowledge of all its internal and external objects, it remains as the common intellect and unconscious of any personality.
