The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

व्योमकाननमाक्रम्य वल्गत्यंशुनखोत्करैः ।
तमःकरिघटा भेत्तुं पुनर्भास्करकेसरी ॥ ७४ ॥

vyomakānanamākramya valgatyaṃśunakhotkaraiḥ |
tamaḥkarighaṭā bhettuṃ punarbhāskarakesarī || 74 ||

The sun resumes his course in the maze of the sky like a lion, and destroys the thick darkness with his rays, as the lion kills the huge elephant with his beaming nails.
