The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

वस्तुन्यसति लोकोऽयं यातु काममवस्तुनि ।
यस्तु वस्तु परित्यज्य यात्यवस्तु स नश्यति ॥ २८ ॥

vastunyasati loko'yaṃ yātu kāmamavastuni |
yastu vastu parityajya yātyavastu sa naśyati || 28 ||

Whoever desires to have any thing in this world, after knowing it as an unreality, surely perishes with his soul for his forsaking the reality.
