The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ते तेषामथ यातानां दत्त्वा भयमभीरवः ।
चिन्ता इव घनाकाराः कुमारीश्च ददुः क्रमात् ॥ ५ ॥

te teṣāmatha yātānāṃ dattvā bhayamabhīravaḥ |
cintā iva ghanākārāḥ kumārīśca daduḥ kramāt || 5 ||

Dauntless warders of the hell-gate received them into their favour, and having given them shelter in the hell-pit, gave them their three maiden daughters in marriage.
