The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अथैनं परिपप्रच्छुः पुरोगा मन्त्रिणस्तथा ।
प्रलयोल्लाससंत्रस्तं मार्कण्डेयमिवामराः ॥ ८ ॥

athainaṃ paripapracchuḥ purogā mantriṇastathā |
pralayollāsasaṃtrastaṃ mārkaṇḍeyamivāmarāḥ || 8 ||

The attendants also with all the ministerial officers, asked him about his case; as the gods terrified at the great deluge, asked the sage Markandeya concerning the occurrence.
