The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

कर्मेन्द्रियैर्यत्क्रियते तद्रोद्धुं किल युज्यते ।
न मनोनिश्चयकृतं कश्चिद्रोधयितुं क्षमः ॥ १८ ॥

karmendriyairyatkriyate tadroddhuṃ kila yujyate |
na manoniścayakṛtaṃ kaścidrodhayituṃ kṣamaḥ || 18 ||

It is easy to destroy what is made by the hand, and to shut out the sensible objects from our perception; but who can annul or disregard what is ascertained by the mind.
