The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

योऽयं चित्तस्य चिद्भागः सैषा सर्वार्थबीजता ।
यश्चास्य जडभागश्च तज्जगत्सोऽङ्ग संभ्रमः ॥ ३९ ॥

yo'yaṃ cittasya cidbhāgaḥ saiṣā sarvārthabījatā |
yaścāsya jaḍabhāgaśca tajjagatso'ṅga saṃbhramaḥ || 39 ||

The intellectual part of the mind, contains the subjective self-consciousness of ego, which is the seed of all its powers; while its other or objective part, bears the erroneous forms of the dull material world in itself.
