The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अस्मिन् जनपदे रक्षःकुलकाननमञ्जरि ।
जनस्य बाधतेऽत्यन्तं सदा हृदयशूलनम् ॥ १० ॥

asmin janapade rakṣaḥkulakānanamañjari |
janasya bādhate'tyantaṃ sadā hṛdayaśūlanam || 10 ||

The prince answered said:—O thou sprout of the savage race of Rakshas! the people of this province are always afflicted in their hearts by a certain evil.
