The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यदार्यगर्हितं यद्वा न्यायेन न समर्जितम् ।
तस्माद्ग्रासाद्वरं मन्ये मरणं देहिनामिदम् ॥ ७ ॥

yadāryagarhitaṃ yadvā nyāyena na samarjitam |
tasmādgrāsādvaraṃ manye maraṇaṃ dehināmidam || 7 ||

The food forbidden by the respectable and got by unjust means, must be rejected even at the expense of one's valuable life.
