The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 1.28.9

सलिलं स्थलतां याति स्थलीभवति वारिभूः ।
विपर्यस्यति सर्वं हि सकाष्ठाम्बुतृणं जगत् ॥ ९ ॥

salilaṃ sthalatāṃ yāti sthalībhavati vāribhūḥ |
viparyasyati sarvaṃ hi sakāṣṭhāmbutṛṇaṃ jagat || 9 ||

Water becomes land and land becomes water. Thus the world composed of wood, grass and water becomes otherwise with all its contents in course of time.
