The Garga-samhita Verse 2.7.32, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 7 (Kidnapping of the Calves and Cowherd Boys) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

दृष्ट्वा च कृष्णं मनसा स ऊचे
त्व् अयं हि गोपो न हि देव-देवः
हरिर् यदि स्याद् बहु-कुत्सितान्ने
कथं रतो वा व्रज-गोप-बालैः

dṛṣṭvā ca kṛṣṇaṃ manasā sa ūce
tv ayaṃ hi gopo na hi deva-devaḥ
harir yadi syād bahu-kutsitānne
kathaṃ rato vā vraja-gopa-bālaiḥ

dṛṣṭvāseeing; ca—and; kṛṣṇam—Kṛṣṇa; manasāin his mind; sa—he; ūce—said; tv—indeed; ayamHe; hi—indeed; gopaḥa gopa; na—not; hi—indeed; deva-devaḥthe master of the demigods; hariḥLord Hari; yadi—if; syāt—is; bahuvery; kutsitawretched; anne—in food; katham—how?; rataḥ—enjoying; vā—or; vraja-gopa-bālaiḥ—with Vraja's gopa boys.

English translation of verse 2.7.32:

As he gazed at Kṛṣṇa, Brahmā said in his mind, "This must be a gopa. He cannot be Lord Hari, the Personality of Godhead. Why would Lord Hari enjoy such wretched food with the gopa boys of Vraja?"
