The Garga-samhita Verse 1.15.40, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. अथ गर्गो ज्ञानि-वरो
ज्ञान-दो मुनि-सत्तमः
कालिन्दी-तीर-शोभाढ्यं
वृषभानु-पुरं गतः

atha gargo jñāni-varo
jñāna-do muni-sattamaḥ
kālindī-tīra-śobhāḍhyaṃ
vṛṣabhānu-puraṃ gataḥ

athathen; gargaḥGarga; jñāni-varaḥthe best of philosophers; jñāna-daḥ—great teacher; muni-sattamaḥ—great sage; kālindī-tīraon the sdhore of the Yamunā; śobha-āḍhyam—beautiful; vṛṣabhānu-puramto the palace of King Vṛṣabhānu; gataḥ—went.

English translation of verse 1.15.40:

Then the great philosopher, teacher, sage Garga Muni went to King Vṛṣabhānu's beautiful palace on the Yamunā's shore.
