The Sanskrit edition of the Apastamba Grihya-sutra with the commentaries of Haradatta (called the Anakula-vritti) and Sudarshana (called the Grihyatatparyadarshana-vyakhya). The Apastamba Grihyasutra is a short treatise on Vedic rituals which, together with the Hiranyakeshin-grihya-sutra, belongs to the Taittiriya School of the Black Yajur-Veda. anāprītena śarāveṇānusrotasamudakamāhṛtya pattastūryantīṃ nidhāya mūrdhañchoṣyantīmuttareṇa yajuṣābhimṛśyaitābhiradbhiruttarābhiravokṣet // ĀpGs_14.14 //

anāprītenā spṛṣṭodakenānusrotasaṃ udakasya prasnavato na pratīpaṃ /
pattaḥ pādayoradhastāt yasyāḥ śvetopamāni patrāṇi pītopa- māni puṣpāṇi ca madhyāṅṇe puṣyati tīryantī vaneṣu jāyate /
veṇupatropamāni ca yasyāḥ patrīṇi raktopamāni ca puṣpāṇi yāṃ cāgniśikhetyāhuḥ /
śoṣyantī tat oṣadhidvayaṃ samūlapatramādāya suṣliṣṭaṃ nidadhāti /
murdhan murdhanītyarthaḥ /
apare piṣṭivā ālimpanti /
atha tāmuttareṇa yajuṣā' ābhiṣṭvāhaṃ daśabhirabhimṛśāmi'ityanenābhimṛśati /
daśabhiriti liṅgādubhābhyāṃ pāṇibhyāmabhimarśanam anulomaṃ mukhādārabhya tata etābhirāhṛtābhirevādbhistāmavokṣet /
uttarābhistisṛbhiḥ ṛgbhiḥ'yathaiva somaḥ pavata'ityetābhiḥ pratimantra mavokṣaṇam //16//

anāprītena anudakaliptena aspṛṣṭodakenetyarthaḥ /
tathābhūtena śarāveṇa /
anusrotasaṃ srotoṣanulobhaṃ na pratīpaṃ gṛhītamudamāhṛtya /
pattastasyāḥ pādayoḥ tūryantīṃ adhaḥpuṣpitākhyāmoṣadhiṃ nidhāya /
śoṣyantīṃ prasavapīḍayā śuṣyamāṇāṃ striyaṃ'ābhiṣṭvāhaṃ daśabhirabhibhūmṛśāmi'iti yajuṣobhābhyāṃ hastābhyām /
vamūrdhan mūrdhanyabhimṛśya /
etābhirāhatābhiradbhiḥ uttarābhiḥ
'yathaiva somaḥ pavate'; ityādibhistisṛbhistāṃ sakṛdevāvokṣet /

kecit pratimantram;dṛṣṭopakāratvāditi /
tatra prathamāyā ṛcaḥ'pratitiṣṭhatu'ityavasānam /
dvitīyāyāḥ'tā kṛtam'iti /
tṛtīyāyāḥ'sarasvatīḥ'iti /

anye tu-śoṣyantīti cauṣadhiḥ /
tāṃ mūrdhniṃ nidhāya striyaṃ yatra kvacābhimṛśediti /
tanna;śoṣyantīsaṃjñāyā oṣadheraprasiddhatvāt /

kecit-śoṣyantīnāmauṣadhiḥ vaneṣu jāyate, veṇupatropamāni ca yasyāḥ patrāṇi, puṣpāṇi ca raktopamāni, yāṃ cāgniśikhetyāhuriti /

tanna;yato vācyavācakabhāvo nepadśagamyaḥ, yathādurvārtikakārapādāḥ-

'vācyavācakabhāvo hi nācāryairupadiśyate /

anyathānupapattyā tu vyavahārātsa gamyate //

iha tu vyavahārābhāvādeva vipratipattiḥ /
bhāṣyakārādapyāptatamapraṇītābhidhānakośeṣu śoṣyantīśabdasyāgniśikhāparaparyāyatayā pāṭhācchāmyati /
na ca tathā dṛśyate /
tasmādvaraṃ pūrvoktameva vyākhyānamiti //14//
