The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
यदपूर्वमदृष्टं वा नानुभूतं न वा श्रुतम् ।
तद्वर्ण्यते सुदृष्टान्तैर्गृह्यते च तदूह्यते ॥ १८ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
yadapūrvamadṛṣṭaṃ vā nānubhūtaṃ na vā śrutam |
tadvarṇyate sudṛṣṭāntairgṛhyate ca tadūhyate || 18 ||

Vasishtha replied:—These wondrous unknown, unseen and unheard of worlds, are mentioned and described in the sastras with their exemplifications also; and they have been received and believed as true by their students.
