The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.190.7

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
बोधमात्रं भवेज्ज्ञानं भावसाधनमात्रकम् ।
न ज्ञानज्ञेययोर्भेदः पवनस्पन्दयोरिव ॥ ७ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
bodhamātraṃ bhavejjñānaṃ bhāvasādhanamātrakam |
na jñānajñeyayorbhedaḥ pavanaspandayoriva || 7 ||

Vasishtha replied:—All perception is knowledge, and this term is denotative of its causality also (as we say, my knowledge is my guide, i.e. the instrumentality of my guidance). Hence there is no difference between knowledge and the known or the knowable, as there is none between the air and its ventilation.
