The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अनारतवहच्छून्यजगन्मृगनदीशता ।
रजोराशिमयी रूक्षा शवभूरिव दुर्भगा ॥ २० ॥

anāratavahacchūnyajaganmṛganadīśatā |
rajorāśimayī rūkṣā śavabhūriva durbhagā || 20 ||

The world is a vast and dreary desert, ever exhibiting the waters of mirage on its surface; while in reality but a body of dust, and filled with the ashes of dead bodies.
