The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सत्यस्वप्नस्थितिर्लोकेष्वीदृग्रूपा यदा स्थिता ।
तदैषा काकतालीयन्यायादन्या न लभ्यते ॥ ४ ॥

satyasvapnasthitirlokeṣvīdṛgrūpā yadā sthitā |
tadaiṣā kākatālīyanyāyādanyā na labhyate || 4 ||

When the earnest desire of a man, presents itself in the shape of a dream before his mental sight, it comes to occur by accident by law of chance.
