The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.127.3

यथा तिमिरिकाक्षाणां केशचन्द्रादिदर्शनम् ।
चिदाकाशस्य सर्गादौ तथा पृथ्व्यादिदर्शनम् ॥ ३ ॥

yathā timirikākṣāṇāṃ keśacandrādidarśanam |
cidākāśasya sargādau tathā pṛthvyādidarśanam || 3 ||

As the dimsighted man sees the shadow of the moon, and other false sights before his eyes, so the creative Power—Brahma sees in the beginning, the phantoms of the phenomenal world in the vacuity of its Intellect.
