The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
यथा संकल्परचिता शिशोर्व्योमनि तिष्ठति ।
वीटा चिन्मात्रबालेन कल्पितो भूस्तथाम्बरे ॥ २ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
yathā saṃkalparacitā śiśorvyomani tiṣṭhati |
vīṭā cinmātrabālena kalpito bhūstathāmbare || 2 ||

Vasishtha replied:—As boys build their fancied castles in empty air, so is this world the creation of the imagination of the mind of Brahma, and no more than this.
