The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.123.12

उत्तरस्तरसोत्तीर्णतारावरतरङ्गिणः ।
महार्णवसुवर्णोर्व्यां सिद्धशापाच्छिलां गतः ॥ १२ ॥

uttarastarasottīrṇatārāvarataraṅgiṇaḥ |
mahārṇavasuvarṇorvyāṃ siddhaśāpācchilāṃ gataḥ || 12 ||

He then passed over the great and smaller seas lying in the north, and after passing over the great frigid ocean, he arrived at the country of gold, where he was changed to a stone by the siddhas of that place.
