The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.123.11

दक्षिणो दक्षशापेन यक्षतामागतः क्षणात् ।
शाकद्वीपे शतेनासौ वर्षाणां मोक्षमागतः ॥ ११ ॥

dakṣiṇo dakṣaśāpena yakṣatāmāgataḥ kṣaṇāt |
śākadvīpe śatenāsau varṣāṇāṃ mokṣamāgataḥ || 11 ||

Roving then in the south, he was denounced to become a yaksha by curse of Daksha the king of that part: until he was released from that state by the king of the Saca-dwipa after some years.
