The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

भवबन्धमयी साधो विषमेयं विषूचिका ।
आत्मज्ञातादृते दीर्घा न कदाचन शाम्यति ॥ २८ ॥

bhavabandhamayī sādho viṣameyaṃ viṣūcikā |
ātmajñātādṛte dīrghā na kadācana śāmyati || 28 ||

Know O holy man, this world is the prison-house of thy soul, and its cares as the cholic pain of thy mind; and there is no release nor redress from these, beside the knowledge of thy soul.
