The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

क्वचिच्चपलसामन्तकृतलुण्ठनमण्डलम् ।
क्वचिदुद्दामदौरात्म्यरक्षःपैशाचमण्डलम् ॥ ५ ॥
kvaciccapalasāmantakṛtaluṇṭhanamaṇḍalam |
kvaciduddāmadaurātmyarakṣaḥpaiśācamaṇḍalam || 5 ||
I beheld a busy body of soldiers somewhere, plundering a city and carrying away their booty; and I observed the fierce raxas and goblins, bent on afflicting and oppressing the people.
