The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.63.14

व्योमात्मत्वान्न गगनं न विदन्ति परस्परम् ।
अपि चेतनरूपाणि सुप्तानीव निरन्तरम् ॥ १४ ॥

vyomātmatvānna gaganaṃ na vidanti parasparam |
api cetanarūpāṇi suptānīva nirantaram || 14 ||

These notions being as void and blank as vacuum, are not as shadows in the visible sky; nor are they known to one another, and though they are of sensible shapes, yet they are as ignorant of themselves, as it were under the influence of sleep.
