The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इच्छानिरासरहिते गते साधोः क्षणेऽपि च ।
दस्युभिर्मुषितस्येव युक्तमाक्रन्दितुं चिरम् ॥ ४२ ॥

icchānirāsarahite gate sādhoḥ kṣaṇe'pi ca |
dasyubhirmuṣitasyeva yuktamākrandituṃ ciram || 42 ||

The dominant desire being deprived of its province, and the indifferent saint being freed from its bondage; it is made to weep and wail, as when a man is robbed by a robber.
