The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.29.70

नीलत्वं च यथा व्योम्नि तथा पृथ्व्यादिता शिवे ।
भ्रान्तिमात्रादृते नान्यद्यथा व्योम तथा शिवः ॥ ७० ॥

nīlatvaṃ ca yathā vyomni tathā pṛthvyāditā śive |
bhrāntimātrādṛte nānyadyathā vyoma tathā śivaḥ || 70 ||

As the blueness of the sky is a false conception of the brain, so the appearance of the world is a fallacy of the silent soul; they are no more than mists of error, that obscure the clear and vacuous sphere of the soul.
