The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.25.17

सर्वं जगद्गतं दृश्यं बोधमात्रमिदं ततम् ।
स्पन्दमात्रं यथा वायुर्जलमात्रं यथार्णवः ॥ १७ ॥

sarvaṃ jagadgataṃ dṛśyaṃ bodhamātramidaṃ tatam |
spandamātraṃ yathā vāyurjalamātraṃ yathārṇavaḥ || 17 ||

All visible appearances in the universe, are only the outstretched reflections of our inner ideas; their fluctuation is as that of the winds, as their motion is as that of the waters in the ocean.
