The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.120.6

तुर्यातीता तु यावस्था परा निर्वाणरूपिणी ।
सप्तमी सा परिप्रौढा विषयः स्यान्न जीवताम् ॥ ६ ॥

turyātītā tu yāvasthā parā nirvāṇarūpiṇī |
saptamī sā pariprauḍhā viṣayaḥ syānna jīvatām || 6 ||

The state above turya or fourth stage, is called nirvana or extinction in God; and the seventh stage of perfection relates to disembodied souls only and not to those of living beings.
