The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.112.31

तदप्यस्य जहाराशु कालः कवलितप्रजः ।
जीर्णपर्णं यथा वातस्ततः शोकपरोऽभवत् ॥ ३१ ॥

tadapyasya jahārāśu kālaḥ kavalitaprajaḥ |
jīrṇaparṇaṃ yathā vātastataḥ śokaparo'bhavat || 31 ||

The all devouring time, destroyed also that habitation of his; and scattered it all about, as the winds of heaven dispersed the dried leaves of trees, and left him to bewail the loss of his last retreat and flitting shelter.
