The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तत्र गन्धद्विपवरे कृतपार्थिवमण्डले ।
रक्षिते हृष्टसामन्तैरारूढौ नृपदंपती ॥ १५ ॥

tatra gandhadvipavare kṛtapārthivamaṇḍale |
rakṣite hṛṣṭasāmantairārūḍhau nṛpadaṃpatī || 15 ||

Then the royal pair mounted upon a royal elephant, which exuded with the perfume of its ichor; escorted by the army on both sides of their procession.
