The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.104.24

संनिधानं मया तत्र कर्तव्यं पितुरग्रतः ।
यथास्थिता हि नियतिर्न संत्याज्या कदाचन ॥ २४ ॥

saṃnidhānaṃ mayā tatra kartavyaṃ pituragrataḥ |
yathāsthitā hi niyatirna saṃtyājyā kadācana || 24 ||

So I must have to repair to the synod of the gods, and present myself before my father in that assembly. So my departure is ordained by destiny, nor can it be averted by any means.
