The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.98.5

महाप्रलयसर्गादावेवेदं नोदितं जगत् ।
निर्देशस्त्विदमित्यत्र त्वद्बोधाय मया कृतः ॥ ५ ॥

mahāpralayasargādāvevedaṃ noditaṃ jagat |
nirdeśastvidamityatra tvadbodhāya mayā kṛtaḥ || 5 ||

It is said that there was no mind or its personification of Brahma, and the final dissolution of the world, and this proves the unreality of both of them. Again it is said that the mind took the form of Brahma and created the world in the beginning, which proves also the mind to be the divine mind, and represented by substitution of the metaphor of Brahma.
